Feel-Good Music and Comedy
During this one-man (and his many instruments) musical comedy show, all you can do is expect the unexpected. One minute you’ll be singing along to your favourite songs from Grease, Queen, The Beatles and more; the next trying to keep up with Matthew’s lightning-speed fingers as he plays dazzling versions of popular movie themes such as James Bond, Mission: Impossible and Star Wars! Along the way there will be comedic ditties, genre-swapping (ABBA, but 1920s style!), spectacular arrangements and plenty of twists and surprises along the way…
With his guitar, ukulele, banjo and bass in tow, Matthew has opened for John Otway (Really Free) and Pete Lincoln (10cc). In 2026 he appeared as cover star of UKE Magazine Issue 47, having previously been nominated for the ‘Best UK Ukulele Player’ award at the ‘Ukies’. He has headlined the Pembrokeshire Ukulele Weekend 2025 and Tuke Fest 2026, and performed his own ticketed shows and made other appearances in many other prominent venues such as the Parkdean Resorts, Chichester Festival Theatre, South Hill Park, Bracknell, Princes Hall, Aldershot, Guilfest, Weyfest, and the Shanklin Hotel, Isle of Wight. Other clients include the BBC and Fred. Olsen Cruises.

Sometime in mid-2011, a young boy picked up his first ukulele, quickly becoming fascinated with the instrument. 12 years later and Matthew Quilliam became the first person to use the ukulele for an entire music degree, graduating in 2023 with first class honours, as well as getting to grips with many other stringed instruments including guitar, bass and banjo.
Thanks to his life-long connection and expertise with the instrument, he has developed a wide skill set and a popular range of shows, whilst showing no signs of slowing down.
Versatility is in abundance when it comes to Matthew’s capabilities. With his boundless energy and his trademark smile, Matthew is sure to leave any audience wanting more.
