Guitar/Ukulele Pickup Install & Repair Tool – for acoustic instruments
An essential tool for acoustic guitar or ukulele players for installing their own jack pickups or making quick repairs. Perfect for trained luthiers AND amateurs alike, using this tool will help solve any issue to do with the instrument’s pickup with no fuss and little effort.
Need to install a pick-up from scratch? Got a lose pickup that won’t tighten no matter how hard you tighten up the outside? Perhaps your pickup just needs re-soldering?
Simply insert the rod into the pickup socket. Unscrew and slide the exterior cap, bolt and washer down the length of the rod until they reach the handy end stopper to prevent loss. Now with a lose socket, use the rod to push the socket into the hollow body of the guitar or ukulele and towards the sound hole. Once the components you need are visible beneath the hole, you should be able to easily see and access everything you need.
Has the jack fallen inside your instrument’s body completely? This tool can help you realign the socket in seconds. By reaching in and inserting the rod into the socket before pulling back through the opening, you will then be able to re-attach your pickup and have it working as new.
