This weekend just gone I was in session musician mode playing bass guitar for a production of The Wedding Singer. It was great to be in the pit again, this musical really challenges all the different styles from rock to jazz to Latin and MT. Great fun.

Funnily enough a 4 hour band call flew by more quickly than it seemed to, meaning this was the only photograph I got of today’s rehearsal. I’m playing bass in a production of Spring Awakening working with some familiar and new musical colleagues. It’s great fun whilst being a challenge and a style outside of my comfort zone. #sessionmusician

First gig of 2022, back in at a wonderful care home in Yateley. I’ve played here more than anywhere else and it’s fantastic each time. The audience sing so enthusiastically along to my music each time, playing in care homes will never get boring.

I just discovered these ancient photos of my great great grandfather playing ukulele on stage…he looks just like me…
